Three masked men demand car keys in attempted carjacking

Police are investigating an attempted car jacking in Coventry.

A man was parking his car in a garage at the back of his home in Winsford Avenue, in Allesley, when three masked men demanded his car keys.

He refused to hand them over and the offenders then left the scene in a blue car.

Officers from West Midlands Police are continuing to investigate the incident, which happened shortly after 7pm on Monday, April 29.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "Police are investigating an attempted car jacking on Winsford Avenue in the Allesley area of Coventry just after 7pm on Monday (29 April).

"A man was parking his car into a garage at the back of his address, when he was approached by three masked men who demanded his car keys.

"The car owner refused to hand the keys over and the men made off in a blue car."
