One of the victims has now spoken out about the incident in a bid to get justice

A man who was left with fractured ribs after a group of youths attacked him and his brother in Bedworth has spoken out about the horrific injuries they received.

Wayne Smith and his brother were attacked outside Tesco in Leicester Road at around 7.30pm on Good Friday, April 19.

Mr Smith suffered fractured ribs in the attack while his brother was left with a broken cheekbone.

He says his brother will also have to undergo an operation to fit a metal plate in his jaw after it was broken in three places.

Mr Smith told CoventryLive: "It was around 12-15 youths who jumped us both, unprovoked.

"The youths were aged between 14-19 years old.

"I'm currently off work because of this and my brother now needs an operation, and due to him not living here, he has to get it done in Hull.

"He needs screws and a plate to fix his left cheekbone, it was fractured in three different places.

"We just want justice serving."

Warwickshire Police is investigating the assault.

Anyone who saw the incident, or has any information, can call the force on 101.

Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Surely there is plenty of CCTV around that area?
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.
