Man arrested after police called to knife incident at Riley's snooker hall

These two vicious-looking knives were recovered by police after a man was seen with a knife at Riley's Snooker Hall.

A concerned member of the public called police and officers were immediately sent to the snooker venue in Hertford Place, just outside the city centre, on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 20.

A man was arrested at the scene and two eight-inch knives were seized.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "Officers were called to reports of a man armed with a knife at Riley’s Snooker Hall in Hertford Place at 4.20pm on March 20.

"Response officers were immediately dispatched to the scene. Two knives were recovered and a 40-year-old man was arrested.

"He has been released on bail with strict conditions while enquiries remain on-going."
