Revealed: Huge new Coventry city centre student accommodation complex

The scale of a huge new 20-storey student accommodation development which will dominate the Coventry city centre skyline has been revealed.

The new development, which will be one of the biggest complexes of its kind in Coventry, will be located on Bishop Street and Upper Well Street near the city's Ring Road.

It will see the creation of a 1,200-bedroom purpose-built student accommodation complex consisting of three buildings.

The developers are aiming to cater for students who attend both Coventry University and the University of Warwick .

The project, which has been made possible following the acquisition of land on Lamb Street by Olympian Homes, will be completed in two phases.

The first phase at the junction of Bishop Street and Lamb Street will consist of a massive 20-storey tower with 823 student bedrooms.

It will be completed in July 2020 and open for the 2020/21 academic year.

Once complete the entire development will cover 371,000 sq ft.
