A man was shot in the leg in Bell Green, sparking an armed police presence at the city's hospitalA man was blasted in the leg in the third shooting in Coventry in 24 hours.
The incident saw armed police descend at Coventry's University Hospital where the victim was being treated.
A number of armed officers were seen at the hospital site in Walsgrave on the evening of Tuesday, February 5.
West Midlands Police confirmed they were called after a man turned up at the hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg.
The man had been shot inside a house in Elkington Street, Bell Green, before making his way to the hospital.
The 29-year-old had suffered a shotgun wound to the upper leg.
Photos from the scene show police taped off a house and a car in Elkington Street and the property is still being 'held' by officers this morning to "carry out a thorough examination".
A spokesman for West Midlands Police stated that three people - a man, a woman and a 17-year-old boy - have been arrested and remain in police custody.

Trio released after three Coventry shootings within 24 hoursTHREE people arrested after a man was shot in Coventry have been released.
It is in connection with one of three separate shooting incidents in Coventry streets within 24 hours.
The 29-year-old was blasted by a shotgun on Tuesday (February 5) in Elkington Street, Wood End.
Police arrested a woman, 21, a man, 26 and a teenager, 17, in relation to the shooting.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson told us today (February 7) the trio has been released without charge, pending further investigations.
The victim has also been discharged from hospital.
