Police have appealed for help to find a Coventry man who failed to turn up for his trial at Warwick Crown Court.

Behrooz Rashidi failed to appear at the court in Leamington on January 9 to stand trial for a wounding offence.

On Tuesday January 22 he was found guilty in his absence and sentenced to eight years imprisonment.

The 38-year-old was also handed a 10-year restraining order, banning him for contacting the victim.

Rashidi, formerly of Jenner Street, Coventry, was bailed by the courts in 2018, and has not been seen since.

He has known links to Coventry and Iran, but the police said their enquires suggest he is still in the UK.

Anyone who sees Rashidi is urged to call 999 immediately.

Anyone who has any information about him, or knows of his possible whereabouts, is asked to get in touch via Live Chat here or to call 101.

Alternatively can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

This is what happens when these animals are let into what once was a civilised country. If Radish, or whatever his name is, is caught he should serve a prison term then sent back to the cess pit where he came from.
