Neighbouring force carried out a raid in the city



Police from Leicestershire have been in Coventry this morning arresting a man on suspicion of drug offences.

Tactical support team vehicles were spotted on Longford Road, Longford from around 8am this morning (January 31), where they remained for several hours.

West Midlands Police confirmed that they were in attendance, in order to assist Leicestershire Police.

It is not known which exact address police attended.

And the East Midlands-based police force have confirmed they have arrested a 33-year-old on suspicion of drug offences.

The individual is currently being questioned.
