More arrests after man stabbed in Coventry

Police have arrested two more men after a stabbing in Coventry on New Year's Day.

A man was found with a stab wound to his torso in Kele Road, Canley, at around 9.20am on January 1, although police believe he may have suffered the injuries elsewhere following an altercation.

The injury is not believed to be life-threatening.

As police began their investigation, they were called by a member of the public reporting a group of men kicking the door of a property in Delta Close, Eastern Green, at around 1.50pm that same day.

West Midlands Police say the caller believed some of the men were armed with knives.

Officers arrived and after a foot chase two men, aged 19 and 25, were arrested on suspicion of wounding in connection with the stabbing.

Their arrests follow that of another man, aged 29, and all three have since been released on bail pending further investigations.
