The impact caused debris to fly off the bus and building, narrowly missing passers-by
This was the scene after a bus collided with a building in a busy Coventry city centre street.
Pedestrians were lucky to avoid injury in the incident at the top of the Burges [sic] just after 2pm on Friday, December 14.
For as yet unknown reasons, the single-decker National Express bus mounted the pavement and hit the corner of an overhanging canopy.
The impact damaged the top left hand corner of the bus, and a small section of the canopy.
Bits of glass and plastic were left strewn across the pavement.
West Midlands Ambulance Service did not attend, but one eye-witness said a woman appeared to get off the bus with a bloody nose.
National Express said it was investigating.
