Man seriously injured in Nuneaton stabbing

A man suffered serious injuries in a stabbing in Nuneaton of Friday afternoon.

The man was found in Haunchwood Road, near to the junction with Whittleford Road and Kingswood Road.

The police were alerted to the incident just after 12 noon.

The injured man was taken to hospital and a Warwickshire Police spokesman said his injuries are serious but not thought to be life-threatening.

Detectives have launched an appeal for anyone with information to come forward.

Detective Inspector Lisa Sears said: “This incident has left a man with a serious stab wound to his back.

“There were people in the area at the time and I’d urge anyone who witnessed this incident or has information about it to contact us as a matter of urgency.

“We’d also like to hear from anyone who saw the victim in the moments leading up to the incident. He is in his 20s and mixed race and was wearing a dark t-shirt.”

Two arrests after man found stabbed in Nuneaton

A breakthrough has been made in the investigation into a stabbing in Nuneaton.

Detectives made two arrests on connection with an incident which left a man in Haunchwood Road with stab wounds.

It has been revealed that a 24-year-old man and 21-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of assault.

The man and woman, who have not been identified but are both from Nuneaton, were detained by police over the weekend.

This comes after the victim was discovered in Haunchwood Road, near to the junction with Whittleford Road and Kingswood Road, on the afternoon of Friday, November 9.

Officers say that the man has been released on bail until December while investigations continue and the woman has been released under investigation.
