Breathing apparatus was used to tackle the blaze
Fire crews were called to Radford in the early hours of the morning to tackle a van fire.
Two trucks from Coventry Fire Station were dispatched to the junction of Middlemarch Road and Capmartin Road this morning (November 1) following reports that a scrap transportation van was on fire.
In total, nine firefighters tackled the fire, which all but reduced the van to a skeleton.
The station commander for Coventry Fire Station confirmed that breathing apparatus and a hose reel were used to tackle the blaze.
It has since been confirmed that both the fire service and police are treating the incident as arson.
