But he was caught by Warwickshire Trading Standards and is now serving three years and eight months in prison
A master forger who made everything from PHD degree, A-Level and GCSE certificates and well as driving licences and construction site cards has been jailed.
Andrew Weeks, 53, from Ashby Road, Hinckley, even produced counterfeit certificates for himself.
But he was caught by Warwickshire Trading Standards undercover sting and is now serving three years and eight months in prison.
Mr Weeks, whose trading names were ‘Nuneaton Print’ and later ‘Yorkshire Novelty Print’ first came to the attention of trading standards officers following complaint from a genuine awarding body.
An investigator working for the Construction Industry Training Board was able to buy a Construction Plant Competence Scheme card from Weeks, allowing the holder to drive dumper trucks and excavators.
It was heard in Warwick Crown Court that, at no time, did Weeks ask the buyer if they had actually gained any qualification or undergone any training to operate the machines.
