This incredible footage shows the moment masked thieves struck at a jewellers in a daring robbery.

A man dressed all in black can be seen stretching his arm through a hole in a window at Johnsons Jewellers in Nuneaton town centre and putting items in to a black bag.

He is flanked by two other men, who are both wearing masks, and one can be seen picking up a sledgehammer that is lying on the floor near to the shattered glass of the window.

The robber with his arm through the window only stops stealing items when a brave member of staff is seen trying to hit his arm with an object.

The three culprits then run in to a blue Volkswagen that is parked on the path in Queens Road before speeding off.

It is believed that a car found burnt out a short while later off nearby Marlborough Road was the same vehicle used by the robbers.

The shocking incident happened this morning (October 27) at around 9.40am and police arrived soon after and taped off the jewellery store.
