Two men have been arrested by Warwickshire Police on suspicion of assault
Two men suffered neck injuries after a 'machete attack' in a village near Coventry.
Both were taken to hospital where one of the men is being treated for potentially serious injuries.
Police said weapons had been used after a crash involving a number of vehicles on the A445 Leamington Road, in Ryton, at around 8.40am.
Two of the vehicles involved left the scene and were then involved in two further collisions on the A423 and at the roundabout where the two roads meet, near to the Sports Connexion.
Armed police and paramedics were called to the scene, while officers were also seen in nearby Bubbenhall.
One villager said a machete had been involved, and although Warwickshire Police have yet to confirm this, they did say "weapons" had been used.
The force has stated that two men were taken to hospital with neck injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
Two arrests have also been made: a 20-year-old man from Middlesex has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and a 24-year-old man from London arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm.
