As part of the move a number of head office jobs will move from Luton to Coventry
Up to 100 Peugeot workers could lose their jobs in the city as the company announce plans to relocate jobs to Luton.
The parts warehouse in Tile Hill is set to close as part of an 'organisational restructure' that would see jobs move to the Vauxhall Aftersale Warehouse 60 miles south of the city.
As part of the changes CoventryLive understands that a number of head office roles will be moved from Luton to the PSA Peugeot Citroen headquarters in Sunbeam Way, Coventry.
Current employees at the parts warehouse were told last week that the company had started a consultation period of 45 days.
One employee told CoventryLive that workers were told they could either relocate to Luton or be made redundant.
A spokesperson for the trade union Unite, which represents workers, said: “Unite is currently in discussions with the company as part of a consultation over the future of the site.
"Unite will be seeking to protect as many jobs as possible and ensure that those people who leave the company do so on the best terms possible.”
