Two weapons were seized from the vehicle



Two people were arrested after a suspected stolen car was chased through Coventry.

The Audi A5 was pursued through the streets of Foleshill and Holbrooks on Thursday, July 19, before the chase came to an end in Holbrook Lane shortly after 3pm.

A post from West Midlands Police's traffic unit on its social media accounts said that two people tried to flee the scene, but were stopped and taken in to custody.

Police also stated that two weapons - one of which can be seen in the photo below - were also seized and taken "off the streets".

Police give update on arrests after chase through Coventry

Two people have been released from custody following a police chase through parts of Coventry.

The arrests were made after traffic cops pursued a suspected stolen Audi A5 through the streets of Foleshill and Holbrooks on Thursday, July 19.

The chase came to an end in Holbrook Lane shortly after 3pm.

A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft and driving offences, and has now been bailed pending further enquiries.

A second man who was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, who was 18, has been released under investigation.
