Two arrested after cyclist attacked and has bike stolen

The robbery happened in the city centre

A 15-year-old boy and a 21-year-old man were arrested after a cyclist was attacked and had his bike stolen in Coventry city centre.

The robbery happened in Market Way at around 10.15am on Tuesday, May 22.

The male victim was assaulted during the incident before the culprits took his bike.

West Midlands Police stated that two people, aged 21 and 15, were arrested on suspicion of robbery and have since been released pending investigation.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward and anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting crime reference number 20CV/113484R/18.
