A mother of five young children has been left in despair by the mouldy conditions of their two bedroom maisonette

Keely and Sean Milbourne have been living in the maisonette in Bell Green since 2013.

Since then their family has expanded, but their living conditions haven’t improved.

Keely, 25, claims when they got the house, they had to scrub it top to bottom to remove stains, waste, faeces and urine.

She told the Telegraph it is now ridden with mould and they can’t get a bigger house.

She said: “My eldest little girl is asthmatic and has been on steroid inhalers for the past year.

“She has recently had her asthma check up and has had to have her dosage increased and the nurse has advised us that it is due to the black mould in our property.

“My second eldest little boy is currently being assessed for autism, ADHD and learning and behaviour problems and my health visitor advised that being stuck in a two bed property with no garden with a very over active little boy is distressing for himself and the rest of the family.

“My youngest little girl is six months old and is constantly getting chest infections.

“It’s getting harder to clear them up, just as it starts clearing it seems to come straight back again due to the black mould in the property.

“We have been in the property since 2013 and contacted Whitefriars on numerous occasions about the mould.

“They send a specialist out to assess the property who advises us he is going to send someone out to sort it out and no one turns up.

“When we contact Whitefriars they tell us they have no acknowledgment on record of us contacting them. It’s got to the point that I’m constantly cleaning down the mould, using mould repellant, and painting every time it starts coming through again.”

That's standard practice for Whitefriars. They tell you they're going to repair this, that and the other problem then you never hear from them again!
