A popular Nuneaton takeaway which has been serving customers for more than three decades has closed and is now up for sale.

Mrs Parkers, which has been part of the Attleborough Green landscape since 1984, has shut up shop.

A post on its page on Facebook reads: “Hi everyone. We regret to inform you that the shop has been put up for sale, and will be closed until further notice.

“I'd like to say a thank you to all our regular customers and everyone that has supported us this past year. We have had an amazing time. It’s a shame it’s had to come to an end.”

It is understood pre-booked catering orders have been honoured but all future trading has been stopped.

The takeaway was originally opened as a shoe shop but then went on to become a fast food takeaway, priding itself on fresh bread, including its famed baguettes, baked on the premises.
