The once popular club has been closed for several years
A once popular Nuneaton pub could become a place where people shop and even live.
Plans are in place to convert the old Cherry Tree pub into five ground-floor retail units and four upper apartments.
The building control application has been submitted to Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council for approval.
It has been some years since time was called at the pub.
The site has, in recent years, become known for the car wash which is situated on the large car park at the front.
If the building control application is given the go-ahead by the Town Hall, it will breathe new life into the building, which was a drinking place for generations.
