The site on Hertford Street is part of the City Centre South transformation

A former bank in Coventry city centre is to be turned into student accommodation.

The old Lloyds Bank in Hertford Street is now offices, but the building is going to be transformed into new flats for students.

A planning application for 40 apartments has been submitted to Coventry City Council.

The apartments will just be one-bedroom apartments at the address of 70 Hertford Street.

A consultation period will run until January 25.

The current use of the site is offices, but they are vacant.

Another of the street’s disused banks will be transformed into a tattoo studio.

Manhattan Ink will be located in a disused bank in Hertford Street and is offering would-be customers finance packages for their tattoo requirements.

It's the old TSB offices but I wouldn't expect anyone at the Telgraph to know that.

One of the women that worked there told me that this would happen, and that was before Lloyds moved out.
