A Coventry man who plied a young teenager with drugs and alcohol before sexually abusing her for a month has been jailed.
Jordan West met his victim outside a McDonald’s before grooming her in what police have described as a “campaign of abuse” that had a “massive impact on her life”.
West, 27, of Hollis Road, Stoke, was sentenced today at Manchester Crown Court to six years and three months in prison after being found guilty of three counts of sexual activity with a child and one count of supplying cannabis.
He also received a five-year sexual harm prevention order and will remain on the sex offenders’ register indefinitely.
West met his young victim in 2015 during a chance meeting outside a McDonald’s in Oldham.
After the girl had asked him for a lighter, he chatted with her before inviting her and a friend back to his friend’s flat where he plied them with drugs and alcohol.
He would then go on to sexually abuse the youngster.
West’s grooming and abuse of the girl continued throughout May 2015 until he told her not to come back.
