Two men have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a pedestrian was killed in Coventry.Emergency services were called to the A45 southbound after a man was knocked down by a Ford Mondeo near Packington Hall at about 1520 BST.
Police have arrested a 30-year-old Coventry man and a 50-year-old man from Leamington.
The road remained closed on Thursday evening.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "Unfortunately nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed deceased at the scene."
