The bus had to be taken off the route and to the station to be cleaned

Egg-throwing yobs forced a Nuneaton bus driver off the road due to the ferocity of their attack.

It has been reported that a driver on the 5/5A route in Camp Hill had to be pulled off the road because of the amount of yolk splattered on the windscreen made it too dangerous to drive.

Pictures shared with the Telegraph show how almost all of the windows, including the driver's windscreen, were pelted with eggs on Halloween night.

“The bus was so badly hit on the screen that it had to be pulled off the road as using wipers would have made it worse,” said a resident, who did not want to be named.

“This resulted in a lack of service up there (Camp Hill).

A spokesperson for Stagecoach Midlands denied reports that the attack was the latest in several to take place in the area.

“There was an isolated incident on Halloween night, where eggs were thrown at one of our vehicles,” the spokesman said.

“The bus was taken back to the depot to be cleaned.”

This was not the only egg-related incident on Halloween night because, as previously reported, homes across the town were pelted with eggs..

Nuneaton Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) received a total of 19 calls to report anti-social behaviour last night and a handful of these related to eggs being thrown at houses.

Due to the expected increase in anti-social behaviour related calls, extra SNT officers were put on late duty across not only in Nuneaton but wider Warwickshire.

Over in Bedworth, members of the SNT stopped two youths in the town centre who had been throwing eggs. They were spoken to and taken home.

Feral youths seem to be everywhere. If we don't clamp down on them I really fear what problems we are storing up for the future.
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.

That is the system now they allow them to continue to do these things hoping they will eventually realise themselves they are doing wrong and stop themselves when they realise they are doing wrong as the police know they wont get away with these crimes not matter which crimes when of age so for them to make the most of it while young this was on a program not that long ago.
