Hundreds of Coventry homes left without water

Postby dutchman » Fri Oct 27, 2017 1:53 pm

Severn Trent has issued a statement

Hundreds of houses in Coventry have either little or no water this afternoon.

The CV3 area is mainly affected as Severn Trent work to repair a water main valve.

There are engineers on site now but it isn’t known how long the repairs will take.

Severn Trent have put a warning out to customers in the CV3 area that they may find their water supplies to be low, or have no water at all.

A spokesman said: “Customers in the CV3 area of Coventry may find water supplies to be off or at low pressure this afternoon whilst we repair a water main valve.

“Our teams are out on site now and will work hard to get everything back to normal as quickly as possible.

“We know how difficult it is to have no water and we’re sorry for the inconvenience this may be causing.

“We’d like to reassure our customers that we’re doing everything we can to get the water supplies back on as soon as we can. Again we’d like to apologise for any disruption this may cause.

“We’ll keep this page up to date as we get information from our engineers and incident control team and we’ll also be tweeting updates from our twitter account: @stwater.”
