Nobs of the week - SCOTTISH POWER

Postby PoundShopPeter » Wed Jun 09, 2010 4:09 pm

Just had a moronic door-to-door salesman round ... missis repeatedly told him she wasn't interested in "switching" ... had to intervene and get rid of him. :fuming:

Won't ever be using them no matter how "cheap" they are.

We had one yesterday.

My German Shepherd "answered" the door first, if you get my meaning. The guy was halfway down the drive before I opened the door.

These people are an absolute menace.
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.

The rubbish they employ as salesmen these days is beyond belief. I had repeated problems with nPower and when I mentioned this to one of them he said "There must be something wrong with you then because no one else has ever complained".

Energy salesmen seldom tell you who they're from. They usually tell you they're from your existing supplier and ask if you've "registered for your discount yet?". That's just a way of getting your personal details and meter number of course. One even flashed a fake "British Gas" identity card in my face, they're pretty easy to fake.

Another other hassle I have is with co-called "charity collectors" who are really full-time salesmen and earning huge commission for every mug they sign up.

Finally there are the collectors who loiter in the exit of Morrisons and ambush shoppers on their way out. I go to Morrisons to buy food not to donate to charity. If Morrisons are so concerned with good causes they should donate some of their huge profits.

Posted it on the "We Love Earlsdon" facebook page and got this reply from someone else:

I've just sent one away too - insisted he'd come back later as I had to resort to closing door in his face!!

we had one round a couple of weeks ago who asked me if I was the lady of the house. I was so tempted to say no - I'm the man of the house but I like wearing ladies clothes and makeup.

Good one Elaine

Another annoying things about these morons is - when you open the door they stand there with a silly grin on their face and say 'how are you today' :fuming:

I was approached in my town centre a few weeks ago - some students trying to get people to sign up to sponsor gorillas at the local zoo. I declined and he pointed out to me that these species were endangered and wouldn't be around in 20 yrs. time - I pointed out that I wouldn't be around in 20 yrs. either but I wouldn't be looking for any sponsorship !!!
