A man was taken to hospital with suspected broken ribs following a collision between a car and a bus in Coventry today.
The crash happened in Robin Hood Road, Willenhall, at 2.50pm and involved a silver Citroen C4 and a Travel de Courcey double-decker.
The car driver suffered suspected broken ribs, and a passenger on the bus had a hand injury.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to find a car that had suffered severe damage in collision with a bus.
“The car driver, a man believed to be in his 40s, managed to free himself from his vehicle.
“He was treated for suspected broken ribs and a hand injury and transported to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.
“There was one patient from the bus, a man believed to be in his 60s who had suffered a hand injury.
"He was treated in a nearby medical centre and did not require onward transport to hospital."
The driver of the bus was not injured, according to paramedics.
