Smash-and-grab thieves steal £5,000 of jewellery from Coventry home

The items were stolen from earlier this month after burglars used a paving slab to smash a patio door

Police have released photos of jewellery stolen by thieves who smashed their way in to a Coventry home.

A paving stone was used to smash a rear patio door at a property in Starcross Close, Walsgrave, before £5,000 worth of jewellery was taken.

The items include earrings, rings and necklaces, some of which are in display boxes.

The break-in happened sometime between April 13 and 15, and the items stolen have been described as “unusual, vintage pieces” by Coventry Police.

Anyone with information on the burglary or the whereabouts of the jewellery is urged to contact Det Con Jonathon Fanti on 101, ext 834 3071, qouting crime number 20CV/77884F/17.
