The incident happened in Stoney Stanton Road on Friday
A ten-year-old boy is in hospital in a critical condition after being hit by a van in Coventry.
The youngster was struck by a Ford Transit van in Stoney Stanton Road, Foleshill, at around 5.15pm on Friday evening.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene and the road was cordoned off next to the junction with Cambridge Street while the emergency services dealt with the incident.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said that the ten-year-old boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries. They say he is currently in a critical but stable condition.
