Police blocked off Foleshill Road in the early hours of the morning

Two men have been arrested after a disturbance in Coventry.

Drugs and weapons were found in the incident in the early hours of the morning in Foleshill Road.

West Midlands Police were called to reports of a disturbance at the junction of Broad Street and Foleshill Road just before 3.30am today.

The road was blocked off by police and residents reported that officers were also seen searching nearby roads.

Witness Davi Rogers noticed the commotion when he was cycling home at around 4am.

He said: “I saw the police car in the middle of the road, there were police everywhere.

“It looked like they surrounded a house in one of the side streets.”

Two men have now been arrested for possession of cannabis and possession of an offensive weapon.

Both men are currently in police custody.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police has said that investigations are still on-going.
