Thief stole toys from Asda on Christmas Eve

A woman admitted stealing toys from a Coventry supermarket - on Christmas Eve.

The toys were taken from the Asda store, in London Road, on December 24 by Margaret Nolan and were worth around £60.

She appeared at Coventry Magistrates’ Court earlier this month where she pleaded guilty to theft and committing an offence while subject to a community order.

Nolan, 38, of Woodside Park, Ryton, was handed an £80 fine and ordered to pay a £30 victim surcharge.

If the woman has money problems - and it sounds very much as if she has - I don't see how a fine is going to help?

This is the kind of idiots runing this country who suffers for it the children in the end no one else less heat or less food quite a cruel sytem we have in this country in my opinion just like £1000.00 fines for a one parent family or jail for not having a tv licence yet kids need a pc for home work while men who sexually abuses a 3 year old child gets 10 months probation 2 cases I watched in court years ago the mother was jailed for no tv licence while the man got 10 months probation.
