Christopher Scott-Horscroft has already been jailed once for attacking a previous girlfriend

A drunk Coventry man who pushed his girlfriend down the stairs when she refused to give him money has been jailed.

Christopher Scott-Horscroft, who was sent to prison for attacking a previous girlfriend while she was pregnant in 2012 , targeted his latest partner before Christmas.

He pushed his girlfriend down the stairs and when she regained her balance he came towards her and kicked her, meaning she fell to the bottom.

His girlfriend was so terrified she thought the 23-year-old would kill her.

At the time of his arrest Scott-Horscroft, who had 14 convictions for 23 offences, including an assault on a previous girlfriend, was in breach of a suspended prison sentence.

That had been imposed at Stafford Crown Court in March 2016 for causing grievous bodily harm to a fellow inmate while he was serving an 18-month prison sentence imposed at Warwick Crown Court in 2015 for robbery.

But the prison attack had led to in him spending more time in custody after serving the robbery sentence, as a result of which he was given the suspended sentence.

Scott-Horscroft pleaded guilty to charges of assault by beating and theft, and also admitted being in breach of a suspended prison sentence imposed in March last year.

The 23-year-old of Dilcock Way, Canley , was jailed for ten months – consecutive to eight months of his suspended service which the judge at Warwick Crown Court also ordered him to serve.
