Darren McIntyre of Tile Hill sentenced after his 72-hour calling spree to the 999 and 101 numbers
A Coventry man made more than 100 nuisance phone calls to the emergency services - in just three days.
Darren McIntyre’s 72-hour calling spree to the 999 and 101 numbers took place in January and eventually landed him in court.
He made a total of 111 calls between January 9 and 11, and was charged with making a public nuisance on a public phone network.
McIntyre, 47, of Pinnock Place, Tile Hill, appeared at Coventry Magistrates’ Court on Thursday where he pleaded guilty and was handed a six-week prison sentence suspended for a year.
He was also ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge.
