"This particular tree has been involved in a lot of RTCs in its lifetime but thankfully, today's, wasn't serious."
Those were the words of senior paramedic officer Nigel Wells after attending a road traffic collision in Gypsy Lane, Nuneaton - a location which ambulance staff in the area are familiar with attending for collisions.
The Trust received a 999 call reporting a car colliding with a tree at 1.40pm today and responded Nigel and an ambulance to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "When ambulance staff arrived they found a man in his 40s walking around. The car was on its side next to a tree. The roof of the car had collided with the tree, bringing the car to a stop.
"The man was assessed by ambulance staff but had managed to escape the collision with just minor bumps and bruises. He didn't require hospital treatment and was discharged on scene."

Someone was very lucky there!
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.
