Cash and cigarettes were stolen from the Co-op store

A masked gang of robbers tied up a terrified shop worker after threatening her with a crowbar.

The armed raid on the Co-operative Food store in Sutherland Avenue, Mount Nod, saw three men wearing balaclavas burst in to the shop at around 6.25am on Wednesday morning.

One of the men brandished the orange crowbar at the female staff member before tying her up in an office.

Police say they then stole a “significant amount of cash and cigarettes” before running off through a back door.

One of the robbers is described as white, in his early 20s, just under 6ft and with distinctive blue eyes.

It isn’t the first time the Co-op store has been targeted with three men armed with hammers raiding the store and stealing cash back in January 2014.

Anyone with information on Wednesday’s crime is urged to call the investigation team at Willenhall police station on 101 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Wasn't one of our previous posters employed there when a raid was attempted?

I don't think so Rebbonk or at least they didn't mention it at the time:

You may be thinking of the post office robbery in Eastern Green?

It was much further back than 2014. I've looked through the member names and none rings a bell.

Maybe it was another forum I used?
