Police say the death of the man in Canley is not being treated as suspicious

The body of a man was found inside a garden shed in Coventry this morning.

Police were called to a property in Thomas Sharp Street, Canley, at around 9.25am after the grim discovery was made.

Officers and forensic teams were at the scene this morning, as were crews from West Midlands Ambulance Service.

West Midlands Police say the death is not being treated as suspicious and will be referred to the coroner.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed they were called to the scene by police officers and sent one ambulance to Thomas Sharp Street.
