Two buses have collided at a busy Coventry junction this lunchtime.

Three passengers have been hurt and paramedics are still at the junction of London Road and Daventry Road.

The trio are a woman with pain in her ribs, another woman with back and leg pain and a man also with pain in his ribs.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said it also looked like there was a fourth patient

Its spokesman said they were called to the scene at 12.01pm.

No one has yet gone to hospital.

The ambulance service spokesman said: “We have got three ambulances and a paramedic area support officer on the scene. The first ambulance arrived after four-and-a-half minutes.

“The caller said two buses had collided and they said there were three patients on one bus. They were a lady with pain in her ribs, another lady with back and leg pain and a gentleman also with pain in his ribs.”

He added there were no details about the fourth patient yet.

“It looks like we’ve got four patients,” he said. “Two of those four are going to be immobilised, the other two have been described as having minor injuries.”
