Police appeal after alleged kidnapping in Bedworth

Warwickshire Police is appealing for a 4x4 driver who may have important information about a suspected kidnapping in Bedworth.

An investigation was launched after police responded to an incident in Park Road and Woodlands Lane in Bedworth at around 7.45am last Sunday morning (September 25).

It's believed that a person was driving a dark 4x4 along Woodlands Lane, near to Dove Close, at around the time of the incident and that they may have information that could be vital to the investigation.

A 37-year-old man has been charged with kidnapping in connection to the incident and has been remanded to appear before Warwick Crown Court on October 27.

Police Staff Investigator Nick Lancaster said: "We are keen to understand and ascertain the exact details surrounding this incident. We would particularly like to speak to a driver who was seen in a dark 4x4 vehicle at the around 7.45am on Woodlands Lane.

"In addition to this individual we would also like to appeal directly to anyone else who may have any further information who has not yet spoken to police.
