Police shut section of Radford Road after head-on smash

One person has been taken to hospital following the collision this morning at 10.10am



Part of Radford Road was shut following a head-on collision between two cars.

The smash happened this morning at 10.10am near the junction with Fynford Road.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police confirmed that there were three people in the two cars and one was taken to hospital.

It is understood that they did not suffer any serious injuries.

A police officer was guarding the scene of the collision until gone 2pm while the road was closed off by Barrs Hill School at one end and by Fynford Road at the other.

Traffic is now able to use the road once more.
