Abandoned shop in Coventry city centre could be brought back to life
Plaza Studio may be redeveloped as part of ambitious plans to uncover the River Sherbourne
A long-abandoned shop in Coventry city centre is in line for a much-needed revamp.
Plaza Studio in the Burges, which has stood empty for eight years, will be renovated as part of the £2million plan to showcase the River Sherbourne.
At present, rusted metal shutters conceal mounds of rubble, rubbish and overgrown weeds at the site of the old clothing shop.
But under the plans to uncover the River Sherbourne the frontages of the historic buildings on the street will be improved.
The shop is in Cross Cheaping, not The Burges!
