David Cameron stuck two fingers up to Brexit voters across the country today as he showered a clique of his Remain buddies with gongs
Doom-monger-in-chief George Osborne and the bungling boss of the botched Britain Stronger in Europe campaign are both to be handed honours alongside his Number 10 press chief and wife Samantha Cameron's stylist.
Defence Secretary Michael Fallon and former Transport Secretary Patrick McLoughlin, who both campaigned to remain the EU, are all to receive honours in Cameron's controversial list.
The former PM's decision to reward the executive director of the Britain Stronger In Europe campaign, Will Straw, who led the failed Remain campaign with a CBE for political and public service, has sparked outrage.
Craig Oliver, director of communications at Number 10 under David Cameron, and Andrew Cook, the former treasurer of the Conservatives, have also been recognised in the list.
The revelation comes after mounting criticism that Mr Cameron used his resignation honours to reward his political allies.
The full list also confirms that Samantha Cameron's stylist Isabel Spearman will receive an OBE for political and public service.
It emerged days ago that the former Prime Minister planned to reward his closest friends and staff in the honours list.
