Man attacked in Coventry after leaving pub to buy kebab

The victim suffered a serious cut to his neck after leaving The Oak Inn in the early hours of June 3

A man was left with a four-inch cut to his neck after he was attacked while getting a kebab in Coventry city centre .

The 34-year-old was drinking at a The Oak Inn, in Gosford Street, with his partner on June 3 but left alone at 3.03am to get some food.

He returned to the pub just five minutes later with a number of injuries, including the gash from the top of his neck to his chin which required internal and external stitches .

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have seen the incident to come forward.
