Coventry man pleads not guilty to Stoke assaultA Coventry man accused of attacking another man in the city will stand trial later this year.
Denzil Grant, 21, of Cheylesmore, was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm after a man suffered abdominal injuries in Clay Lane, Stoke, on Thursday, July 7.
The 42-year-old man’s injuries were said to not be life-threatening.
Unemployed Grant, from Park Paling, appeared at Warwick Crown Court on Thursday when he entered a not guilty plea and the case was sent for trial.
It is hoped the trial will get underway in October and Grant was remanded in custody.
