Police have released CCTV footage of a man they would like to speak to after a passenger was racially abused on a bus in Coventry.

The 47-year-old victim was on the number 85 bus travelling towards University Hospital, in Walsgrave, when he tried to stop another man from harassing a fellow passenger.

As a result, he was subjected to racist verbal abuse and violent threats at around 2pm on February 16.

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information is asked to contact PC Clare Thorley on 101 or email contactus@west-midlands.pnn.police.uk.

Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
