Radford cannabis farm found while police investigated bike thefts

Police uncovered plants in a main bedroom of a house in Widdrington Road

Cannabis plants worth thousands of pounds were uncovered by police investigating a spate of pedal bikes thefts in the Radford area.

Officers visited the Widdrington Road property on April 11 while hunting for the bicycles but instead found 18 plants growing in the main bedroom.

An 18-year-old male and 32-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of cannabis production before being released on police bail.
