Would-be robber threatens staff at Coventry bookies

Police were called to an attempted robbery at a Coventry bookies this afternoon.

A man threatened staff at the William Hill branch, in Holyhead Road, at around 1.10pm but is believed to have left empty-handed.

Officers are investigating the incident and are urging anyone who was in the area at the time or has any information to call them on 101.

Alternatively, information can also be passed to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
