Taylor Norton from Wood End was reported missing after she wandered off from Grace Academy at around 3.30pm.

The 12-year-old was supposed to be waiting to be collected by her support assistant.

Taylor is described as being white with brown hair cut into a bob. She is around 5ft1 and of a slim build.

She usually wears dark rimmed glasses.

At the time of her disappearance she was wearing her Grace Academy uniform of black trousers, black blazer, a white shirt and purple tie.

PC Steve Clarke, who is working on the investigation, said: “Grace has multiple mental and sensory impairments which leave her particularly vulnerable.

“She has been missing once before but was quickly found. She has never wandered off like this. We are keen to see her return home as soon as possible.”

Police have already spoken to Taylor’s friends and checked local shops and parks.

As part of the investigation, additional officers from across the West Midlands Police force have been drafted into help, as well as the National Police Air Service.

Missing 12-year-old girl found by police 'safe and well'

A vulnerable 12-year-old who went missing after school yesterday afternoon has been found.
