Teenager seriously injured in Stoke Heath stabbing

A teenager has been left with serious injuries after being stabbed in the leg in Stoke Heath.

The incident took place in Valley Road, Stoke Heath , at around 5.30pm today.

A 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being stabbed multiple times in the leg. His condition is currently being described as stable.

Police were called following reports of disorder.

Three teenagers were arrested by officers at the scene and have been taken into custody to be questioned about the events that took place.

A number of detectives were still in Valley Road this evening carrying out enquiries to identify those involved. Police are also examining CCTV footage from the surrounding area.

As the incident took place in a busy area near Sky Blue Way, police are appealing to any witnesses to contact them on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Police investigating stabbing of Coventry teen charge two 15-year-old boys with wounding

Police investigating the stabbing of a Coventry teenager have charged two 15-year-old boys with wounding.

The two, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were charged after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed in the leg on Thursday in Valley Road, Stoke, Coventry.

The teenagers, who are both local, will appear at Coventry Magistrates this morning charged with grievous bodily harm, possession of an offensive weapon and violent disorder.

One 17-year-old, two 18-year-olds and a 19-year-old, who were also arrested in connection with the incident, have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

The 16-year-old boy remains in hospital with serious injuries and his condition is described as serious but stable.

West Midlands Police said they are aware there would have been a number of witnesses.

They have appealed to anyone with information to call 101 or contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
