Two men, aged 37 and 42, were arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods after detectives executed a search warrant at an address in Northumberland Road, Spon End at 9am.

Another man, aged 47, was arrested in another raid on Heathcote Street in Radford. He was arrested on suspicion of possessing class A drugs.

Items recovered from the first address included a digital camera, jewellery, foreign currency and a ‘de-tagger’ used to remove security tags from clothes.

Police from Coventry’s Magpie Team recovered laptops and electrical items from the second property.

Lead officer PC James Rees said: “We’ve seen a small rise recently in the number of break-ins in the local area. Acting on community intelligence we’ve executed search warrants under the Theft Act; we’ll examine the seized items and see if they are connected to any reported break-ins.”
