I think it's a bid of a poor do. I'm sure the Nationwide could make allowances for people who simply don't want to use the cash machines or are unsure how to use them.
It's like the supermarkets - they've introduced these self-service tills - I've only used them a few times - and each time have had to call for assistance.

This is the thin end of a very long wedge. We are going to see more and more of these things introduced.
Older people don't like them, and despite industry assurances to the contrary, fraud is rife. (I worked with a major bank for 12 months and you wouldn't believe what they hushed up!)
I wonder just how ling before we go totally "cashless?"

This is a scary thought Cheque books are gonna disappear soon - again these are used by a lot of older people. The older generation have a lot of money sitting in bank accounts and are sadly falling behind with modern banking - be it through cash machines or internet banking.
